A butterfly at rest, just above your knuckle.
Slide this ring on and feel the lightness of enamelled fine silver — bright, weightless, with a butterfly wing settling on your finger as though it just landed. Deep ocean blue and clear aqua enamel catches the light differently with every movement; one moment like sun on shallow water, the next like the deeper part of the reef. It's an unusual shape for a ring, so it wears as a little piece of wearable art rather than a typical band. Someone will reach for your hand for a closer look — enamel done this well always pulls people in.
Butterflies have long carried meaning across cultures — transformation, rebirth, a sign that change is on the way and more beautiful than expected. The blue and aqua enamels add their own quiet note: blue for calm and clarity, aqua for creativity and flow. If you've been reaching for something that marks a new chapter, this ring says it without saying it.
Handmade on the Central Coast of Australia by artist-jeweller Natalia using the traditional champlevé technique — one of the oldest forms of enamelling. The wing is engraved by hand into 999 fine silver before any enamel is laid; the engraved detail stays visible beneath the colour, shifting in the light. The recesses are filled with vitreous glass enamel and fired more than ten times in the kiln to build the depth and brilliance of the finished surface. Every firing is unforgiving — the colour only reveals itself once the kiln cools — so no two champlevé enamel rings come out quite the same. This is made-to-order in your ring size, so the piece is truly yours from the start.
Making an enamel ring is a slow conversation between engraver, colour and kiln. I love the patience it asks of me. — Natalia
