This Polish commemorative stamp, issued in 1952, honors the 35th anniversary of the October Revolution (1917–1952). It depicts a finely engraved portrait of Vladimir Ilyich Lenin, symbolizing Poland’s political alignment within the Eastern Bloc during the early Cold War period. The denomination of 30 + 15 groszy indicates a semi-postal issue — the additional 15 groszy served as a charity surcharge. Designed by M.R. Polak and printed by PWPW (Polska Wytwórnia Papierów Wartościowych), it is rendered in a deep brown-violet tone and features the inscription “POCZTA POLSKA.”
