Victorian Crescent Moon Diamond Necklace

The Selene pendant is an authentic antique diamond pendant from the Victorian era. The crescent-shaped pendant features 28 Old Cut diamonds in graduating sizes of approximately 2.20 carats of H-I color, VS-SI clarity. The diamonds are bead set in a two-tone 18kt yellow gold and silver setting. We added an 18kt yellow gold bail to the piece and paired it with a delicate platinum chain.

Why We Love It

One of our favorite conversion pieces to date, the Selene necklace is an eye-catching piece that lies beautifully around the neck! Victorians were big fans of all things lunar and interested in the moon's connections to Ancient Greek goddesses and this necklace is certainly fit for a modern goddess. Its bright diamonds glitter in patina, and we attached a gold shell-shaped bale to amplify the ethereal element of this Victorian piece. The sliding bale allows the addition of other pendants like our Lulu Pendant, to create a unique stack of charms.
