What are some ways to view the area at night?

The viewing mode you use at night depends on your surroundings, what you want to see, and your viewing distance. You have three options to choose from at night:

• Night vision green phosphor : the familiar green image for general nighttime observations, such as in the field or forest. If you want to see as far as possible, this mode is best.
• White Phosphorus Night Vision : Color contrast for the clearest and sharpest image. Suitable for urban environments.
• Black/White : a black and white image for when you need as much contrast as possible, for example for reading text or license plates on cars.
• Amber : A new, unique color mode that gives you a golden-toned image. Use this mode when you want to see a lot of detail and achieve high contrast. It's especially useful in situations with some residual light (e.g., at sunrise).

Whichever option you choose, don't forget to remove the color filter from the lens at night, as this will block infrared and ambient light.

Infrared heater

When you can't see your hand in front of your face, that's when the night vision truly comes alive. It's equipped with a powerful infrared beam. Use it in low-light or no light at all, for example, in a remote forest. The IR has an invisible 850nm beam, and the glow is only visible up close. You can easily adjust the beam's power and angle.

What can I expect during the day and at dusk?

During the day, the STARGAZER produces a razor-sharp image. This is thanks to the special "day mode," the color filter, and the AMOLED-Q Quad-Pixel HD widescreen. The quality you see with this night vision device during the day is unmatched in any other night vision device. This means you can use the device during the day as both a digital camera and binoculars. Even at dusk, you can see for extended periods with rich detail. And when it gets too dark, you can switch to one of the night modes, which you've already read about.

Unique quality photos and videos

The device captures photos with a stunning resolution of 5360x3008 pixels (16.1MP) and records video in 1080p at 60fps. These are stored on the 16GB microSD card, which you can then transfer to your computer or laptop using the microSD stick. The viewer features EIS (Electronic Image Stabilization) to compensate for vibrations and correct blur. If you plan to take a lot of photos, we recommend using a sturdy tripod. Operating the night vision device with your smartphone

You can control the STARGAZER with your smartphone or tablet (for Android and iOS) using the free "Roadcam" app. This allows you to view live footage from your smartphone, for example. The viewer automatically generates a Wi-Fi signal, making it easy to connect your device.

Comfort and power supply

The night vision binoculars are binocular, meaning you look through them with both eyes. This makes them very comfortable—even for extended use—because you don't have to constantly close one eye. You can use the device for up to 3 hours with the four included CR123A batteries. You can also provide the binoculars with continuous power by connecting them to a power bank or laptop, for example (via the included USB-C cable). Extra-powerful CR123 batteries are also available as an option.
