Ashwagandha is another name for Indian ginseng, an important and valuable herb of Ayurveda, a traditional Indian medical system. It contains alkaloids, flavonoids, saponins, coumarins and others. Ashwagandha is primarily known as a calming adaptogen. It may also help with perimenopausal symptoms. Ashwagandha has been shown to increase muscle strength and it also have detoxifying effects.
PREPARATION AND DOSAGE:
1. Heat water
2. Add 1 teaspoon of root into the cup
3. Pour hot water over the root
4. Brew covered for 10-15 minutes
5. Strain it and drink it 1-2 times a day.
6. Enjoy!
The ground root (powder) can be added to a cocktail, yogurt, dessert, or dissolved in water or milk.
