Category Description

This category focuses on teamwork between two barbers to create one complete hairstyle on a model, combining both haircutting and hairstyling creativity.

The main goal is to produce a visually strong and creative overall look, where both barbers contribute equally to the final result. It is not just about cutting or styling alone, but how both skills are mixed together to form a cohesive, creative hairstyle.

Barbers must work as a team to ensure the haircut and styling connect well and create a complete, model-ready transformation.

Rules & Regulations

1. Participants must complete the official registration before the closing date.
2. Participants are required to arrive at the venue at least 1 hour before the competition starts for check-in and preparation.
3. Each participant must bring their own tools, equipment, extension plugs, and products needed for the competition.
4. Participants are required to use the official BEESMADE Cutting Cape provided during the competition.
5. Participants are encouraged to utilize BEESMADE products such as BEESMADE Matte Clay, Mattifying Powder, Classic Pomade, and other related products during styling and presentation.
6. Participants must prepare one live model. Mannequin heads are not allowed unless stated otherwise by the organiser.
7. Models must arrive with hair in its natural condition before the competition starts. Pre-cut guidelines or heavy pre-styling are not allowed.
8. Participants must follow the designated competition area and safety guidelines throughout the event.
9. Any inappropriate behaviour, cheating, or violation of rules may result in point deduction or disqualification.
10. Judges’ decisions are final and cannot be challenged.
11. The organiser reserves the right to use photos and videos taken during the competition for promotional and marketing purposes.
12. Participants are expected to maintain professionalism, cleanliness, and sportsmanship throughout the event.

Tag Team Rotation Rule

1. Each team consists of 2 barbers.
2. Only 1 barber is actively working on the model at a time.
3. The working barber must tag their partner every 5 minutes.
   

4. After each tag:
   The active barber becomes the observer.
   The partner takes over immediately and continues the work.

Switching Structure

1. Rotation happens strictly every 5 minutes.

2. Example flow:
   Minute 0–5 → Barber A works / Barber B observes.
   Minute 5–10 → Barber B works / Barber A observes.
   Minute 10–15 → Barber A works / Barber B observes (and so on until end).

Side Role Responsibilities (Inactive Barber)

While waiting off-chair, the inactive barber must:

• Observe and guide creative direction (without interfering physically).
• Communicate adjustments or improvements.
• Prepare tools/products for next rotation.
• Ensure continuity of design between switches.

The inactive barber still plays a strategic creative role, not a passive one.

Key Challenge of the Format

• Maintaining consistent design direction across both barbers.
• Avoiding disconnect between switching styles.
• Ensuring smooth handover without losing haircut structure or styling flow.
• Demonstrating teamwork under pressure and time control.

Category Requirements

1. This category focuses on overall hair creativity on the model, combining both haircutting and hairstyling as the main execution.
2. Both barbers must actively participate in the process, ensuring equal contribution to the final hairstyle.
3. Participants must showcase a mix of creative haircut techniques and styling skills, such as fading, texturing, design work, and finishing styling.
4. The final result must be clean, balanced, and visually complete, showing strong teamwork and a shared creative direction.
5. Accessories or props are allowed but must not overpower the hairstyle. The hair remains the main focus.
6. Any inappropriate or offensive designs are strictly prohibited.
7. Judges will evaluate based on creativity, technical execution, teamwork, difficulty level, finishing, and overall presentation. 

Main Judging Focus

1. Overall Hair Creativity (Cut + Styling Integration) - 12 Points
   (Combined haircut and hairstyle concept, creativity in transforming the model’s overall hair look.)

2. Technical Execution (Haircut & Styling) - 8 Points 
    (Clean fade, blending, structure of haircut, precision in detailing, design work and quality of styling execution.(shape, texture, finish))

3. Team Coordination & Creativity Flow - 6 Points
    (Both barbers collaborate throughout the entire process, smooth transition of ideas
between cutting and styling and consistency in creative direction from start to finish.)

4. Appearance & Professionalism - 4 Points
    (Barber’s attire, grooming, confidence, and overall team presence and professionalism on stage.)
