Hidden Island Countertop Bracket - Kitchen Island Support Bracket

Our Hidden Island Countertop Bracket allows you to support an overhanging countertop on an island cabinet. The small downward mounting tail mounts to the rear of a cabinet box. Once you route slits for the bracket to lay in, this bracket will give you a flush finish to mount your countertop with an overhang. A steel support bracket like this will prevent any countertop bending or breaking for a reliable hold. This countertop bracket comes in a variety of different lengths and thicknesses. Product Specifications:

• Available in thicknesses: 3/8″, 1/2″.
• Available in lengths: 24″, 28" 32", 33", 36", 40", 44", 48".
• All Brackets are 2 1/2″ wide.
• 2 mounting holes on rear tail / mounting plate.
• 45 degree beveled & smooth front edge.
• Bracket is buffed to give smooth edges and eliminate any burrs.
• Powder coated black to prevent against corrosion and rust.

Weight Capacity:

• Make sure high quality mounting hardware is used to secure bracket.
• Specific max load/weight capacities per bracket are detailed in the diagram.
• Examples:
  • One 24″ long 3/8″ thick bracket has a weight capacity of 200 lbs.
  • Two 36″ long 3/8″ thick brackets have a weight capacity of 350 lbs.

Installation Tips:

• Mountain Hardware Not Included.
• Recommending #12 tapered wood screws 1.5″ – 2″ long, depending on your cabinet.
• Drill pilot holes to avoid cracking your mounting surface.
• This bracket must be installed before your stone or wood countertop is installed. The countertop overhang will lay on top on the support bracket.
• If you’re using this bracket to support stone, we recommend Liquid Nails to mount the bracket to the stone.
