This ring is so lovely. My intention was to make this for mothers, as this is pink mother of pearl. There was something about the dualistic nature of motherhood. Mothers were not always mothers. Once, there was a time where the child had not come into existence. I feel this is best represented by the beautiful filigree design. Then one day, the mother was blessed, and "oystered a pearl" so to speak, thus revealing the motherhood side of herself. I just think this is a beautiful representation of motherhood and the strong women behind the noun.
