Pycnogenol® is a natural plant extract obtained from the bark of single-species pine trees growing exclusively within the Gascony Lands Regional Park (Les Landes de Gascogne), in southwestern France, on the coast of the Basque Gulf. This forest is pristine and natural - uncontaminated by plant protection products such as pesticides or herbicides. The highest quality of Pycnogenol® ingredients is due to the fact that the bark is not subject to seasonal changes, unlike other plants, making it an ideal botanical source. 1kg of Pycnogenol extract is made from 1000kg of pine bark.
