Notes: This type of filter has been used successfully in the past for wine filtration where aesthetic clarity was the objective. It is FDA Compliant, but is not recommended by the manufacturer for wine applications needing consistent bacterial removal. We do not recommend this filter for final filtration. We now recommend the new Graver ZTEC (PES10/20-CODE6) as it is recommended by the manufacturer to provide microbial stabilization. With wines containing residual sugar we still recommend a chemical stabilizer such as Potassium Sorbate to protect against in-bottle fermentation.
