This Nikka Taketsuru was created in honor of its founder, who died in 1979. The individual components matured for 17 years in various sherry casks with highly diverse aromatic influences. Consequently, unlike a pure blend, this pure malt comes only from individual, high-quality single malt casks.

The 17-year-old Taketsuru offers refined and mature aromas of dried fruit, leather, and tobacco. Due to its high proportion of malt matured in sherry casks, it impresses with a predominantly spicy and fruity flavor profile. However, the obligatory vanilla and caramel nuances are not neglected.

This premium Japanese whisky, blended from a variety of single malts, will win over any whisky lover thanks to its complexity. It was also named Best Blended Malt at the 2012, 2014, and 2018 Whisky Awards.
