Background: The 14-3-3 proteins are a highly conserved family of proteins involved in the regulation of cell survival, apoptosis, proliferation and checkpoint control . Biological regulation by 14-3-3 is mediated through phosphorylation-dependent protein-protein interactions . Two different phospho-Ser-containing motifs are found within nearly all known 14-3-3 binding proteins . Motif is found in critical regulatory proteins including Bad, cdc25C, FKHRL1, PKC and c-Raf . Phospho-14-3-3 Binding Motif Polyclonal and Monoclonal Antibodies provide powerful tools for the discovery and characterization of potential 14-3-3 binding proteins containing this motif and for high throughput drug discovery.

Extra Notes: Western blot analysis of CDK4 expression in A431 (A), Hela (B), K562 (C), MCF7 (D), NIH3T3 (E) whole cell lysates., Immunohistochemical analysis of CDK4 staining in human breast carcinoma formalin fixed paraffin embedded tissue section. The section was pre-treated using heat mediated antigen retrieval with sodium citrate buffer (pH 6.0). The section was then incubated with the antibody at room temperature and detected using an HRP conjugated compact polymer system. DAB was used as the chromogen. The section was then counterstained with haematoxylin and mounted with DPX.
