The cord is coiled so it won’t drag and slow your down and is easy to store and carry. Coiled cords are most often used for flat water paddling due to their convenience. The deluxe padded neoprene cuff is has additional range of adjustment so it can be worn just as comfortably around the ankle or above the calf.
