Adrenaline is a personal and conceptual statement that transforms a lived obsession into image. In this work, RASSIM® reconsiders his relationship with a car — once a symbol of desire, control, and projection of self. Photographed years after its role in his life, the vehicle stands motionless, detached from speed yet charged with memory.
The artist’s own words frame the origin of the project:
“When I saw her for the first time on the streets of Vienna, she was in red. She was small, smooth, and perfect. When I brought her to Sofia, the sun was shining and she was dressed in bright yellow. When I am inside her, I feel like a god who commands... My car is my adrenaline.”
What began as an act of possession evolves into reflection. The photograph observes what remains when desire has exhausted its motion — an object once lived with, now remembered.
Within RASSIM®’s broader practice, which questions the boundaries of body, identity, and perception, Adrenaline represents a shift: the body withdraws, leaving the object to carry its emotional charge. The work stands as both self-portrait and residue — a document of transformation, viewed through time and distance.
Curated and presented by Monochrome Hub, this edition belongs to the gallery’s ongoing dialogue between memory and authorship — photography as a site where the personal becomes archival.
