Rendered in the most eye-catching combination of aqua blues and greens with purple and white accents, embellished with a scattering of matching coloured claw set rhinestones, this original 1950's cotton day dress, is just the piece to welcome the warmer weather with. 

The rounded neckline, is framed by thin cotton shoulder straps, which set off the sleeveless cut. The fitted bodice, is accented by gathered and pleated panels along the bust-line, which curve inwards from each side seam, creating a central pointed feature along the front of the bust.The cinched in waistline, is set off by a rolled piped panels, which draws the eye to the full circle cut of the skirt line. Finished with a rayon lining along the skirt-line and tulle panels along either side of the hipline to create the iconic new look silhouette.

Closures: This dress fastens along the back with an 11 inch metal zip and a hook and eye. 

Condition: This dress is in near perfect vintage condition. There is a hole to the rayon under skirt lining. A machine darn along the front central part of the skirt-line, this has been done previously and sympathetically in a dark green thread. A very small darn along the front left hand side hemline, this has been done sympathetically and is not apparent when the dress is being worn. These minor imperfections are not apparent when the dress is being worn. Please refer to the photographs as they form part of the condition report. 

Washing instructions: This garment should be dry cleaned or hand washed in cool water.
