Pianist Paul Harrison releases Encontros, a personal celebration of the music of Brazilian composer Egberto Gismonti’s music. Colourful, melodic, atmospheric and above all rhythmic, the album brings together dazzling international musicians from Brazil and Scotland in combinations from duo to septet. The new arrangements and improvisations take surprising turns and capture true spontaneity and group interaction.

The album comes with an endorsement from Egberto Gismonti himself, with the Brazilian master noting "it has humour, has grace, has freedom to play”. Encontros was recorded in Glasgow and is produced, mixed and mastered by Paul Harrison.
