This is the first original album in four years from Tetsuro Kawashima, a tenor saxophonist who represents the Japanese jazz world in both name and reality, and following "Prayer" in 2012, he leads his regular quartet to play original compositions, centering on the six-piece suite "Song of the soul" and writing all of the compositions except for the Pergolesi classic "Salve This ambitious work features the six-song suite "Song of the soul" and all songs written by the quartet with the exception of "Salve regina o clemens," a classic by Pergolesi. This is one album that shows overwhelming individuality and presence among many others.
