The Atmos DC30GSE with automatic ignition is a wood gasification boiler for central heating of residential buildings and similar properties using dry split logs. With its power class, the boiler is suitable for heating systems where a high-performance log wood heater with a buffer tank and controlled system integration is planned.

The automatic wood ignition supports more convenient operation, as the start of the burn can be scheduled via the control system. This makes the boiler particularly interesting for users who want to use a classic log wood heater but desire more operating comfort when lighting the fire.

Technology & Equipment

The boiler operates on the principle of wood gasification with an induced draft fan. Combustion takes place in a ceramic-lined combustion chamber with preheated primary and secondary air, ensuring controlled burning.

The equipment includes the electronic control unit ATMOS ACD 04. Automatic wood ignition is achieved via a built-in ignition system with an ignition chamber and glow coil. Ignition can be scheduled based on a time program, heating system demand, or buffer tank temperature.

Everyday Benefits

In daily operation, the induced draft fan, controlled air supply, and automatic ignition function make handling the boiler easier. When refueling and during operation, the fan supports flue gas flow, while the control system clearly displays the central operating states of the heating system.

The large loading opening and the ability to use split logs up to 530 mm reduce the effort required for fuel handling. For consistently clean and safe system operation, dry fuel, appropriate return temperature boosting, a buffer tank, and regular cleaning remain crucial.

System Integration & Compatibility

The Atmos DC30GSE with automatic ignition is designed for integration into a water-based heating system. Installation with a buffer tank and return temperature boosting is particularly important for operating a wood gasification boiler, as it keeps the return temperature stable and effectively stores the generated heat.

The ACD04 control system supports system management with a boiler circuit, heating circuits, domestic hot water preparation, and a buffer tank. The specific design of the buffer volume, hydraulics, chimney, and safety devices must be adapted to the respective system.

Installation

Installation is carried out as integration into a water-based heating system with a suitable chimney connection, return temperature boosting, and a buffer tank. Operation requires a sufficiently sized installation room, appropriate combustion air supply, and a professionally coordinated flue gas routing.

Installation, commissioning, and instruction should be carried out by a qualified specialist company. Hydraulic integration, electrical connections, thermal safety drain, and chimney conditions must match the respective system.

Notes

The boiler is intended for dry split logs. For clean operation and a long service life, firewood with an appropriate moisture content must be used.

For wood gasification boilers, return temperature, buffer tank, regular cleaning, and correctly adjusted combustion air are important prerequisites for reliable system operation. The specific power selection does not replace a heat load calculation.
