One of a handful today pulled from the already falling apart sketchbook of a young Henry Henkel of Lancaster, NY, who wrote his name many times all over it--and very much all over this particular page! At top, just above the baseball, is written the word "sphere," tying it together, but easily missed. I'm not quite sure why, but I find the combination of these "spheres" (is a lemon--or is a walnut?-- a sphere?) and this whole sphere of Henry Henkel's handwriting quite charming. 1913.
8 1/4" x 6 7/8". Crayon, ink and graphite on paper, good condition.
